ANINNATA IS A SMALL MOUNTAIN VILLAGE IN SOUTHEASTERN KEFALONIA.
THE BIG EARTHQUAKE OF 1953 FLATTENED MOST OF THE HOUSES WITH MANY VICTIMS.
AFTER THE EARTHQUAKE, FOR SEVERAL YEARS RESIDENTS REMAINED WITHIN THE DILAPIDATED HOUSES WITH TEMPORARY REPAIRS.
THIS EARTHQUAKE WAS THE REASON FOR POROS, A NEW VILLAGE BY THE SEA, WAS TO BE BUILT.
RESIDENTS FROM ANINNATA AND THE SURROUNDING VILLAGES MOVED THERE.
TODAY. POROS IS A BIG TOURIST ATRACTTION AND HAS ONE OF THE BIGGEST PORTS IN KEFALONIA.
